Black Agenda Radio · Joe Biden Used Mother Emanuel AME Church As a Campaign Backdrop

Marcus McDonald is lead organizer with Charleston Black Lives Matter and a member of Free Palestine Charleston. Tamara is a Palestinian American organizer with Free Palestine Charleston. On January 8 an organizing effort among various grassroots organizations in the Low Country of South Carolina resulted in an action at Mother Emanuel AME church, where 9 congregants were killed by a racist in 2015 and where president Biden was speaking. Activists interrupted his speech demanding a ceasefire in Gaza. Marcus McDonald and Tamara join us from Charleston to discuss how an historic Black church was used for political ends by the Biden campaign.
