The U.S. Supreme Court heard oral arguments in Moore v. Harper, a case brought by North Carolina legislators who argue for the discredited “independent state legislature” theory. Eliza Sweren-Becker serves as counsel in the Voting Rights & Elections Program at the Brennan Center for Justice. She joins us from New York to explain the serious implications of Moore v. Harper for state legislatures and for voters in the U.S.
