While 500,000 Brazilians march in protest of post-coup legislation which will impoverish the elderly and families by raising the retirement age to 74, well beyond the country's life expectancy, the NY Times and establishment coverage in the US ignores and distorts events, concealing from US citizens the hand of policies dictated from Washington.
