Black Agenda Radio · Ending Life Without Parole, Death by Incarceration, in Pennsylvania

Quinn Cozzens is a staff attorney at the Abolitionist Law Center. He joins us to discuss the case of Derek Lee, convicted of felony murder and sentenced to life in prison without parole for a killing he did not commit. In Pennsylvania 1,100 people are serving sentences of life without parole, death by incarceration, and 70 percent of those persons are Black. Derek Lee is challenging his sentence before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Quinn Cozzens joins us from Pittsburgh.
