The logic of Zionism compels Israel to massacre scores of unarmed Palestinians in Gaza, said journalist and scholar Vijay Prashad. “By taking control of what was supposed to be the 1967 region of Palestine, they have made the two-state solution impossible,” but “because Israel is founded on the principles of Zionism, it will not permit a one-state solution,” said Prashad. Violent repression is the only option.
