The most recent protest occurred because of inferior treatment compared to the rest of the country and high food prices caused by monopolies. Roddy Rod is an anti-Kepone activist, pan-African, anti-imperialism resident of Martinique. He is also a resident of the African nation the Ivory Coast. He speaks on behalf of other anarchists in Martinique who are engaged in disruptions on behalf of the people there.
