The nation’s best known political prisoner will mark his 38th year behind bars by addressing a “Youth Rise Up Against Empire” event in his hometown. Mumia Abu Jamal credits the late Howard Zinn, author of “A People’s History of the United States,” with inspiring his latest, three-volume work: “Murder Incorporated,” a history of US imperial crimes.
