The insurgent Ocasio-Cortez campaign upset a New York City Democratic machine congressman by registering 120,000 phone calls to voters. “That’s a benchmark,” said BAR managing editor Bruce Dixon, who is also a leader of the Green Party in Georgia. “If your organization is not making 1,000 or 2,000 calls a week, what are you organizing?”
