Maneuvering madly to touch their Messiah's hem.”

 

They're Baaack...

Bogeyman defeated, they' d overcome their fears
And were baaaack partying, lord, four more years...
Like party peacocks prancing under artificial sun
Celebrating unlimited prospects – an eight year run

They came without woes and came without cares
Congressmen, mayors and multimillionaires

Parading and charading; charading and parading
Charading and parading; parading and charading

Letting their hair down and dropping their disguises
Jockeying for more subcontracts and more franchises
In charged the black bourgeoisie's creme de la creme
Maneuvering madly to touch their Messiah's hem

They came without woes and without cares
Congressmen, mayors and multimillionaires

Parading and charading; charading and parading
Charading and parading; parading and charading

Big Negroz, and even the small time ones he pimps
Bedecked in their resplendent gowns,tuxes and tails
Frantically elbowing one another to get a glimpse –
Watching
freedom fighting leaders languish in jails...
