Black Agenda TV Pilot from Black Agenda Report on Vimeo.
We are excited to present to our readers this demonstration version of BATV, the video program that will become part of the Black Agenda Report team’s regular schedule, later this year. BATV is a work in progress, and this demo is by no means the final version. We do hope it conveys the spirit of how we plan to bring “news, commentary and analysis from the black left” to video.
BATV needs your ideas and active collaboration, so that we can create a powerful video mechanism for social transformation – as well as a show that is pleasing to the eye, ear and mind. We know there are organizations and individuals that are already creating video compatible with BATV’s mission – or would do so if the proper platform existed. Let’s discuss how BATV can incorporate some of the good political work that is currently being done in video, and encourage the production of more and better video materials for the people’s media.
We’d like to hear from you. Please view the demo, and let us know your opinion of this, our first video effort. Use the comments to this page below. Your comments are public. Please know that although we do read the comments we don't often answer them..
If you desire a personal response, do please get at us via this site's contact page. Be sure to select “”Black Agenda Television” as the topic for your message.
Are you a video producer? Got some material you think might be a good fit for Black Agenda TV? Use the contact form to send us ideas or links to samples of your posted work ---- not your original video files themselves. We promise a prompt and respectful reply.
The Editors
When oppressed people get organized, the US gets angry. It's been punishing the people of Cuba since 1962.
We remember Patrice Lumumba. We will not forget the Congo.
Corporate media excel at misdirection and telling outright lies. Independent media must have a seat at the table when opportunities arise to cover events such as relief efforts for the people of Gaza.
Colonized people must be in solidarity with the oppressed and by definition, that means being anti-zionist.
The grandiose name, National Endowment for Democracy, is a subterfuge meant to hide the fact that NED is the public relations arm of the CIA.
