We’re joined by two members of the Spirit of Mandela Coalition and About the People. Raven is host of the podcast, In Defense of Liberation, a worker, and a transgender organizer in Central New York. She is a member of the Black Alliance for Peace Solidarity Network and the BAP Prisoner Support Committee. Kevin Steele is a formerly enslaved incarcerated person and an organizer with Spirit of Mandela, the Peoples' Senate and the Campaign to Bring Mumia Home. He’s also an independent screenwriter and film maker. Together, they will discuss the work of the Peoples Senate and an upcoming event, People's Senate Giveback & Community Genocide Convention in the Bronx on Monday, February 19 - a day of particular importance as it is the birthday of political prisoner Kamau Sadiki.
