Suad Abdul Khabeer and Asha Noor joined with two other Muslim and Jewish women to publish an article titled, “How Targeting Ilhan Omar Instead of White Supremacy Furthered Both Anti-Semitism and Islamophobia.” Said Khabeer, who teaches at the University of Michigan: “From white supremacy comes anti-Semitism, comes racism and violence against Black people and indigenous people.” Racial justice activist Noor said “hate crimes against Muslims are at their highest since 9/11.”
