Black Agenda Radio · Haitian Communities Devastated by Efforts to End Temporary Protective Status

The Trump administration recently announced the end of Temporary Protective Status (TPS) for 500,000 Haitians currently living in the United States. The end of TPS would end their ability to work legally in the US, and if upheld, will force thousands of people to return to a country which Trump says is safe, but which is in turmoil caused by violent paramilitary groups. Our guest is Guerline Jozef, founder and Executive Director of Haitian Bridge Alliance. She joins us from San Diego, California, to discuss the impact of this proposed change on the Haitian immigrant community and the legal efforts being waged to fight the end of TPS.
