This issue of Black Agenda Report focuses on the U.S. role in the Ukraine crisis. The second phase of the war in Ukraine that brought a direct confrontation between Ukrainian military forces and Russia is approaching its one-year anniversary. Both articles grounded their analysis in the concrete economic and political interests locked in combat as opposed to the liberal focus on what was in the heads of Putin, Biden and Zelensky that characterizes so much of mainstream analysis and has led to the confusion we see around Ukraine today.
