Uhuru Movement activist Akile Anai is leading a campaign to put reparations and community development on the ballot, next year, in St. Petersburg, Florida. The campaign kicked off with revelations that the Democratic mayor’s top policy official has admitted to having “a sexual obsession” with homeless Black men. St. Petersburg regularly sweeps the homeless from the streets in mass arrests that are called “Saturday massacres.”
