Dr. CBS on Trump's Black/Red Scare
Black Agenda Radio with Margaret Kimberley

The U.S. Department of State released "Cuba: The Capital of 21st Century Communism," which justifies the genocidal siege against that country while also attempting to criminalize leftist organizing. This document was preceded by the National Security Presidential Memorandum-7 (NSPM-7), which provides more rationales for state repression. What is the history of these scares and how do they impact Black people? Dr. Charisse Burden Stelly is the author of "Black Scare/ Red Scare: Theorizing Capitalist Racism in the United States," which was published in 2023.  She will also discuss her recently completed project, "This Is America," which appeared on Instagram.
