Black Agenda Radio · Reparations for Haiti

Dr. Jemima Pierre is a Black Agenda Report editor and contributor. She joins us to discuss her recent remarks at the United Nations during the 4th Session of the Permanent Forum on People of African Descent (PFPD). Dr. Pierre and others spoke about the need for reparations for Haiti, which was forced to pay an indemnity to France 200 years ago, a massive theft which impacts that nation to this day. The United Nations and the United States also owe Haiti for theft and for damage and death from occupations. Dr. Pierre joins us from Vancouver, British Columbia.
