El Jonesis a poet, journalist, professor and activist in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. She teaches at Mount St. Vincent University and is the author of the recently published book, Abolitionist Intimacies. She joins us to discuss her book, Canada’s upcoming Canada Day celebration and its role as a colonizer nation which works closely with the US in its imperialist actions. She joins us from Halifax.
