Following up a yearlong, citywide study of the works of WEB Dubois, the Philadelphia Saturday Free School kicks off “The Year of Gandhi,” June 14 and 15, at the Church of the Advocate. “The big problem confronting humanity,” said the Free School’s Dr Anthony Monteiro, “is the completion of the movement from colonialism and imperial domination to freedom and justice and socialism.”
