“The majority of the countries of the world have taken a stand against the US intervention in Venezuela,” said Roger Wareham, a human rights lawyer and member of the New York-based December 12thMovement. Washington’s attempts to foment a coup in that country violate the United Nations charter, said Wareham. “There’s no legal justification for intervention against a sovereign state.”
