“This notion that there’s some kind of benevolent hegemon that will intervene on the side of the people, is obscene,” said Ajamu Baraka, chairman of the Black Alliance for Peace. Venezuela’s many elections have all been free and fair, said US author and lawyer Dan Kovalik, who has observed six of those elections. “It’s almost a fool-proof process,” said Kovalik.
