“The military is based on destruction and war and US imperialism, which basically means stealing the resources from people who happen to be non-white, all over the world,” said Lisa Davis, of Newark, New Jersey’s Peoples Organization for Progress, one of the thousands of activists that converged on Washington for last Sunday’s Women’s March on the Pentagon. BAR managing editor Bruce Dixon sampled the opinions of the crowd.
