Dr. Gregory C. Hutchings, Jr.is an Executive-in-Residence for the School of Education at American University and a former superintendent of Alexandria, Virginia public schools. He joins us to discuss a recent study which found that law enforcement has a larger presence in Black and Latino schools than in white schools. How does an increase in law enforcement on Black campuses impact students? Dr. Hutchings discusses the best methods for promoting achievement and safety.
