Longtime MOVE Family spokesperson Ramona Africa’s health took a turn for the worse, necessitating an emergency appeal for assistance. Ramona Africa exemplifies the ethos of “the long distance revolutionary,” said human rights activist Ralph Poynter, husband of the late people’s lawyer and political prisoner Lynne Stewart. “All of the Africas” -- the name all MOVE members adopt -- “have proven to be prophetic” in their reverence for all forms of life, said Poynter.
