Black Agenda Radio ¡ Richard Medhurst Discusses the Terrorism Act and the Criminalization of Journalism

Our guest is Richard Medhurst. He is an independent journalist who covers international affairs on his YouTube channel and in other outlets. On August 15 of this year, he made news of his own when he was arrested at Heathrow airport in London under Section 12 of the Terrorism Act of 2000 and was accused of 'expressing an opinion or belief that is supportive of a proscribed organization.' He joins us from Vienna to provide updates us on his case, discuss the impact of repression on other journalists, and analyze international events.
