Black Agenda Radio · Minnesota Freedom Fund Fights for Bail Justice

We are joined by Elizer Darris, Co-Executive Director of the Minnesota Freedom Fund (MFF). The Freedom Fund pays for bail and immigration bonds for those who can’t afford it, but its work is under attack. A bill was proposed in the state legislature that would have made non-profit bail funds illegal. The bill was defeated but has been re-introduced. Across the country, the effort to eliminate cash bail is being undermined. Elizer Darris joins us from Minneapolis.
