Black Agenda Radio · Omali Yeshitela and the FBI Attack on the Uhuru Movement

Omali Yeshitela is chairman of the African Peoples Socialist Party, leader of the Uhuru Movement, and the Black is Back Coalition. The African Peoples Socialist Party’s Uhuru House was raided by FBI agents in St. Petersburg, Florida as was the Uhuru Solidarity Center in St. Louis, Missouri in July 2022. He is assumed to be one of those named as “unindicted coconspirators” in a federal case. He wrote an essay entitled, “The FBI Wants to Put Me On Trial for Fighting for Black Freedom. Put the Colonial State on Trial! We Will Win!” and discusses the need to raise funds for legal representation.
