Activists must resist Democratic Party efforts to weaken demands for social change, said William C. Anderson, author of the book, “As Black As Resistance,” and a recent article titled, ”No Matter Who’s Elected, We Must Keep Demanding More.” Williams saysDemocratic Party mimicry of popular demands is proof of the movement’s effectiveness. “That’s why they’re trying to take what we’re doing” and dilute it, he said.
