The Underground Struggle Continues

Shannon Jones and her comrades in Bronxites for NYPD Accountability have taken the struggle against police repression underground, into the subway system, where they encourage folks to share their fare cards with those who might otherwise be arrested for turnstile-jumping. “The ultimate victory” for the Swipe-It-Forward campaign, said Jones, “is free transportation for everybody, because that eliminates the hierarchical structure, eliminates the racism, and eliminates the rabid NYPD coming after us.”
