A Kwanzaa Poem
by the Seven Foot Poet
It’s about love
It’s about life
It’s about our culture
Our family our community
Our genius our birthright
It’s about love
It’s about life
It’s about our culture
Our family our community
Our genius our birthright
We remember our glory our stories
Yesterdays yesterday
Those that came before me
Today’s today
Rebuilding our way
Tomorrows tomorrow
Sunshine good times
And learning from our sorrows
It’s about love
It’s about life
It’s about our culture
Our family our community
Our genius our birthright
