Abayomi Azikiwe is editor of the Pan-African Newswire, but he is also a Detroit, Michigan resident and activist. He joins us to discuss politics in Michigan after Dr. Abdul El-Sayed won the democratic primary for the senate, defeating the establishment choice and well-funded candidate, Haley Stevens. This outcome is part of a larger trend of insurgent, more left leaning candidates defeating democrats who have party endorsements and large campaign war chests. Why did Dr. El-Sayed win? Abayomi Azikiwe provides analysis.
