Rigodis Appling has been a public defender in Manhattan for 17 years. She is currently working in the Special Litigation and Community Justice Unit at The Legal Aid Society. She is also a founding member of BALA - the Black Attorneys of Legal Aid. She joins us from New York to discuss racial profiling in the NYPD Gang Database, and the demands that an NYPD report be released to the public.
