"Paralyzed by fear of the White Man's Party, Black voters find a false sense of power in clustering around the perceived 'winners'" on the Democratic Party menu. "The mantra is, effectively, 'All Power to the Democratic Party!'" – brokered, of course, by the Black Misleadership Class.

“The March 1 contests in Alabama, Georgia, Arkansas, Texas and Tennessee will seal the deal, allowing warped practitioners of Black electoral power politics to claim Hillary owes her nomination to African Americans.”

I can hear it now: “For the third time in this century, Black voters (‘the hands that picked cotton’) are picking a president of the United States.” Such inanities will ring out from every bastion of Democratic Party hegemony in Black America in celebration of Hillary Clinton’s sprint towards coronation as the Third Black President (her husband having purportedly been the first).

Although the young, white Sandernistas may not grasp it yet, their doomed quest to transform the Democratic Party “from below” has failed to move the voting bloc that makes up the actual “bottom” of the party: the bedrock 25 percent that is Black. In South Carolina, Blacks will be a majority of Democratic primary voters on Saturday – a “demographic buzz saw,” as a Washington Post headline put it, with Clinton sweeping all the African American age cohorts.

Although Bernie Sanders garnered 84 percent of Democrats aged 29 and younger in overwhelmingly white New Hampshire, and beat Clinton by 21 percentage points among voters age 30 to 45, he is polling at only 35 percent among Blacks age 45 and under in South Carolina, and losing to Clinton 78 to 12 percent among Blacks over age 45, according to NBC’s numbers.

Entrance-exit polls show Clinton won 76 percent of the Black vote in Nevada. The March 1 contests in Alabama, Georgia, Arkansas, Texas and Tennessee will seal the deal, allowing warped practitioners of Black electoral power politics to claim Hillary owes her nomination to African Americans.

Statistically, they will be correct. But Bernie Sanders, whose domestic politics is a much closer fit with the historical and current Black world view, is not losing to Hillary because of his positions on the issues, or because Blacks trust in Clinton’s honesty and integrity (huge numbers don’t, in every demographic). It is also no longer the case that most Blacks are unfamiliar with Sanders’ platform. African Americans are, by some measures, more tuned in to the “news” than whites (although Blacks trust the media less). But they tune Sanders out, because their main purpose for voting in national elections is to keep the White Man’s Party, the Republicans, out of the White House, and believe Clinton has a better shot. Almost everything else is bullshit.

There is a direct and dialectical relationship between this historical Politics of Fear, as we have described it in these pages, and the hegemonic domination of a calcified and infinitely corrupt Black Misleadership Class whose primary loyalty is to the Democratic Party, which for two generations has been their route into the corridors of money and power. They “deliver” that vote to the highest bidders in a party structure that is under the commanding influence of finance capital and its representatives (currently, the many-times-over-bought-and-paid-for Clintons). The mantra is, effectively, “All Power to the Democratic Party!” – brokered, of course, by the Black political class. Paralyzed by fear of the White Man’s Party, Black voters find a false sense of power in clustering around the perceived “winners” on the Democratic Party menu.

“Clinton campaigned vigorously for Barry Goldwater.”

That’s why it makes no decisive difference at the polls when a genuine Black popular icon like my dear friend Cornel West contradicts Atlanta Congressman John “De Lawd” Lewis’s contention that Clinton has “been there” with Black folks over the decades, while shamelessly questioning whether a 20-something Bernie Sanders was actually among the two hundred thousand-strong crowd at the March on Washington in 1963. As Dr. West wrote:

“Clinton has touted the fact that, in 1962, she met King after seeing him speak, an experience she says allowed her to appreciate King’s ‘moral clarity.’ Yet two years later, as a high schooler, Clinton campaigned vigorously for Barry Goldwater – a figure King called ‘morally indefensible’ owing to his staunch opposition to the Civil Rights Act of 1964. And she attended the Republican convention in 1968! Meanwhile, at this same moment in history, Sanders was getting arrested for protesting segregation in Chicago and marching in Washington with none other than King itself. That’s real moral clarity.”

But moral clarity – and coherent thought – withers amidst the Politics of Fear. “Black Power” devolves to a shuffling and clustering around the most well-healed, right-wing Democratic candidate vetted by Wall Street. That candidate’s victory represents an objective defeat for the historical Black political agenda on social justice and peace. Yet, it will be celebrated as a benchmark of Black progress and POWER (‘the hands that picked cotton...’), because African Americans were on the winning side of the contest. Such is the great paradox of Black national electoral politics since the demise of the Black Liberation Movement and the rise of the Black Misleadership Class.

The question of self-determination lies at the heart of the political crisis in Black America. If masses of Blacks at this point in history cannot overcome a mind-twisting fear of the Republican/White Man’s Party, to vote their own, thoroughly documented leftist politics in national elections, then activists should treat the duopoly process, itself, like poison. History shows us that the Black self-determinationist imperative blooms and thrives in movement politics – the only kind of politics that can circumvent and ultimately overcome the entrenched and morally defective Black Misleadership Class, who are inextricably entwined with the Democratic Party and its rich financiers.

If movement activists fail to vaccinate themselves against the Democratic Party contagion, they will become its drones and replicants. Hillary Clinton has benefited greatly from her encounters with the Campaign Zero wing of Black Lives Matter. She has parlayed her two chats with the group, in which no substantive demands were put forward, into yet another episode in her “I’ve been with Black folks through decades of struggle” fiction. Bizarrely, the young Black people that made cameo appearances in Hillary’s “Black Lives Matter” drama may boast that they have had a significant impact on the presidential campaign. They’re right. Congratulations: You sanitized a pig.

Who needs poisoned Flint water to sap brain cells?  Ethnoitis is far more lethal.  After years of seeing one's economic and social lot worsen under Democrat (including a tidal wave of black Democrats since the 70s) as well as Republican regimes, you'd think that people would wake up and smell a rat.  But it looks as if the black masses are in permanent dreamland still tied to the belief that if they just follow the voting directives of "their leaders," everything will be okay.  Sometimes one gets what one deserves.  If folks are too ignorant to realize they've been played, the deserve to be screwed over by the powers that be.

It's a shame & a damnable disgrace that John Lewis- a "living 'I'-'CON' " of the era of the Civil Rights Struggle, would basically LIE that he saw the Billary Clintons at the March on Washington in 1963 [but NOT Bernie]. Now I don't know if Bernie was there or NOT [I'll just take his word for it] -but- Uhm Bro Lewis, First of all Bill & Hill did NOT even know each other till circa 1971 [first met at Yale]. AND- Hillary as a young dedicated Repug 'Goldwater Girl' till at-least 1965 & from there attended the Repug POTUS convention for Tricky Dick in 1968, damn sure would NOT have been at the March on Washington, NOR any other Civil Rights event of that era; & I seriously doubt a youthful Slick Willy of AR was there either!!! In fact to the best of my knowledge neither Hill nor Bill have even tried to claim that before!!

African Americans should vote for Donald Trump in 2016, to punish the Democratic Party.  With the Democrats we have no leverage because our vote is taken for granted.  With my strategy, I believe when 2020 rolls around the Democrats will beg and plead to get our votes.  If you can't see yourself voting for the Republicans then pick another party, any excempt the Democratic Party.  Staying home is another option.  We've lasted 400 years in a rigged system, we can survive another 4.  The Democratic Party is not working for us, it's time to try something else.

Should vote for Repug Trump [or Cruz, Rubio, Carson, etc], to punish the Dims [especially if they pick Billary over Bernie] IS IMO JUST LAME- effectively like 'Cutting-off you nose to spite your face'!!! 

Blacks, Browns, Progressives, etc... have got other options besides voting for the Dims [especially Billary] or the Repugs- IE: They could vote for GP POTUS candidate Jill Stein, or vote for a socialist party, or even write in 'Mickey Mouse' [IMO better than voting for Donald 'Duck' Trump]- or just say " 'F'-IT" & stay home, refusing to vote for any POTUS candidate [especially since it's the electorial college that 'selects' the POTUS anyway]!!

Is this "Black Brick Wall" expression similar to the  "Strong Black Person" who remains loyal despite constant abuse from the person or persons who intentional inflict the abuse?

(a) In 1985, the Clintons Right Wing Democratic establishment  and the Wall Street  financiers who control them created laws which led to the explosion of "for profit"  jails  where young African Americans men and women are now  warehoused for those offenses that the financiers and elites themselves would not be subjected to!

(b) These same Wall Street financiers also control the CBC PAC who has  enable them (financiers) to load those hard working African American young people with gigantic student loan debts. Due to job discrimination, most of these young people are saddled with debts which grows exponentially for life! 

What benefits do African Americans get for being the " BRICK WALLS"  when the benefits our votes only allow the establishment to make decisions  and reap the rewards from which we are excluded? Why the loyalty? IS THIS NOT AN ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP? Are we BRICK WALLS because we are incapable our thinking for ourselves? How THICK are we in this BRICK WALL status?

When Slick Willie was president -- having gotten there by in part 'Willie Hortonizing' Sister Souljah, in *his/their* coded appeal to racists, which Hillary did nothing to stop -- remember that Hillary said, regarding Slick for president, "Buy 1, get 2"! This means that, of course, they were a husband & wife team presidential team and that, in practice, if not Constitutionally, she was, in effect, *co-President*.

This was through all of Slick's also militarist, neoliberal (corporatist, pro-"Free Trade Agreements", "ending welfare as we know it", as well as repealed Glass-Steagall, and deregulated telecommunications which lead to, among other things, Clear Channel buying up damn near every significant radio station, advertisement billboards, and even concert venues in the country, increasing right-wing corporate control over the media and even entertainment), 'law & order' (a.k.a. boosting the New Jim Crow Black mass incarceration rate, and covering it all with playing the saxophone [Slick was actually playing *Black* people like a saxophone], and token Black Whitehouse "friends"/sychophants/stepin-fetchits [step & fetch the Black vote again for them], while Hillary was at the time boosting the popular white racist theory that Black babies, or at the least children, were actually born *genetic* "*super*-predators").

Both financially and criminologically, the Clintons were the worst thing to hit the U.S. since... --- well Slick was actually to the right of *Nixon*, because that's how far to the right the "lesser-evilism" Democrat Party as steadily moved -- with Black people and white "progressives" help.

But, the Clintons have *repeatedly* shown in the past that when they get desperate, they -- *&* their Black stepin-fetchit lackeyes for the patronage crumbs they get, usually just symbolic -- get verbally and politically nasty. They did it against Obama, when they didn't realize that the U.S. corporate/ruling/governing elite needed the *ultimate* facelift/cover on U.S. neoliberal and foreign/militarist policy (since Bush not only "F'd" everything up, but trashed the U.S.'s relationship with most of its continental Western European allies over the war in Iraq. (Only "Bush's Poodle", Tony Bliar was styoopid enough to stay with Bush, Bliar thinking that the most powerful military in the world couldn't fail!)

And, I predicted that the ruling-class was going to come up with another boogeyman/boogeywoman -- like before with Sarah Palin (quite believably "a hearbeat away from the president", if you had actually seen John McCain in person, looking quite old even for *his* age back then, *not* 'a physically fit *California* 70-something') -- to have Black people and white progressives running back to the elite corporate ruling-class-selected internationally more palatable Democrat party warmonger and neoliberal corporatist. All Negroes had to know about Barack Obama was that, even *unlike* Hillary and even McCain, he *wouldn't* take his token visit to Memphis for the commemoration of the death of **Martin Luther King**!! Not go commemorate the death of Malcom X, but **Martin Luther King**!! If you didn't see through Obama before, you shoulda seen through him -- and what his *real* purpose was -- then.

Oh, the ruling-class elite have come up with a *great* boogeyman now -- in the Demo-Publicans/Republi-Crats "Good Cop, Bad Cop" game to keep us in the "lesser-evilism" -- or as B.A.R. Glen Ford most aptly put it, "THE MORE *EFFECTIVE* EVIL -- trap. The ruling-class elite have come up with TRUMP!... Well, I'm not going to be CHUMPED. Actually, on issues of war, and on some issues of corporatism, Trump is actually to the left of both Hillary *and* Bernie!

The war thing of "regime change" and overthrows went back to no less than *Jimmy Carter* with the U.S. "proxy" war in Afghanistan when "we" actually *supported* the Muslim fundamentalists leading to "al-Qaeda", supposedly the cause of "9-11". Actually, Carter, underneath all his warm fuzzy fireplace-sitting sweaters, supported some very nasty and genocidal foreign policies in places like Indonesia and then dictatorial South Korea (in what I call "South Korea's 'Tienanmen Square' where the then South Korean dictatorship, with *Carter's* approval, slaughtered about 10,000 South Korean pro-democracy activists, in what is known as The Kwangju Massacre, as Truman had done with South Korea's Cheju Island Massacre where thousands of pro-democracy activists were slaughtered). Of course, like all massacres, we only hear about what China or other adversaries/enemies do, not about what the U.S. and our right-wing foreign "friends" do.

Actually "regime change" goes back to LBJ with the utterly failed Vietnam war (failed except for killing some 60,000 Americans troops, wounding/maiming [both physically & psychologically] many many more thousands of American troops, where Black or Brown vets came back home right to the same deep racism they left to go supposedly "fight for freedom & democracy", and except for killing *million* of Vietnamese (men, women, teens, children, & babies).

Actually, "regime change" goes back to 1953 when the U.S. (along with the UK) overthrew the *DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED* and *DEMOCRATIC* govt of Iraq -- and then installed the brutal dictator, the Shah, who's overthrow led to the Ayatollah (who initially with the help of the U.S. CIA identified and then right-wing Iranian fundamentalist leadership assassinated progressive pro-democracy Iranian activists).

But "regime change" continued under Clinton: who helped the other Western imperialists (including *Germany*) break up *Yugoslavia* (remember Yugoslavia). It's continued under Obama with *Iraq*, *Libya*, *Ukraine*, *Syria*, *Yemen*, as his otherwise not only continuing, but *exceeding*, Bush the *Shrub's* war mongering.

AND WHAT HAS WESTERN IMPERIALIST "REGIME CHANGE" EVER BROUGHT THE PEOPLE OF THE IMPERIALIST-TARGETED COUNTRY BUT *MISERY* & *DEATH* & MILLIONS OF *REFUGEES* (WITH NOTHING BUT THE CLOTHES ON THEIR BACKS) STREAMING OUT!?: something antI-immigrant Europeans never seem to grasp!

THAT'S BECAUSE, THE IMPERIALISTS/SUPREMACISTS NEVER MEAN FOR THE *INDIGENOUS*/*NATIVE* PEOPLE OF THE TARGETED COUNTRIES TO BENEFIT, BUT (as with historic Palestine) FOR THE **IMPERIALISTS/SUPREMACISTS/COLONIALISTS** TO BENEFIT -- WHILE CLAIMING, "WE COME IN PEACE!..." -- and claiming it's _the indigenous people_ who are "barbaric" (the comparative weapons of the poor are *always* despised).

AND HILLARY WOULD BE A BIGGER WARMONGER THAN BILL, BUSH, OR OBAMA! HILLARY CALLED FOR *NUKING* IRAN FOR *ISRAEL*!!

BERNIE'S FOREIGN -- ESPECIALLY MILITARY -- POLICY -- AS EQUALLY PRO-ZIONIST/ PRO-ISRAEL -- is never examined and interrogated on the left -- except on the pages of Black Agenda Report. Bernie promises us free college, single-payer health car, and whatever else -- and BERNIES 'GREAT SOCEITY' PROGRAMS -- like LBJ's -- IS GOING TO BE FINANCIALLY SUCKED AWAY -- while Bernie too would continue to spend trillions on war, and new nukes, and new nuclear submarines, and other war machines, and U.S. military bases in every corner of the world.

Once again, _WE HAVE NO PEACE PRESIDENT_ (even Europe in general and the Nobel Committee in particular chumped themselves on this one over Obama) -- except comparatively so now with Trump!!

I have never been *CHUMPED* into voting for U.S. president. Not even for 3rd parties like the Greens (and certain not for Peace & Freedom, which did their tiny best in the early-mid *1970's*) -- who have, under a rigged system, only self-documented by their minuscule voting percentage that the ruling-class has *nothing* to worry about in progressive 3rd party presidential campaign challenges -- who thus *ENDORSE* an absolutely Republi-Crat rigged system by *running* in it at the presidential and other higher office level. Except for maybe a sliver of Black people who've gotten entertainment wealthy (we've always been allowed in entertainment [including music and sports] since Fidler played for Massa [or Massa, over a bet, made his slave fight another Massa's slave]).

And if most Black folks somehow *didn't* know who was elected president after an election, they couldn't tell from their actual lives -- except that from all the group statistics, our lives get no better or even worse as a group (and worse under Obama too!).

(I would support the Greens, BUT NOT UNCRITICALLY [because there are some Zionists in the Greens, and even Jill Stein's position on Israel at least *was* quite lacking], to first build up at the local level, and, by building up a campaign of mass protest, force a change in the presidential and other higher level campaign rules to indeed make it more *democratic*, like proportional voting or whatever.)

SO WHAT IS HILLARY GOING TO PROMISE AND SUBSTANTIVELY ACTUALLY DO FOR US WHAT BILL AND OBAMA *DIDN'T*!?

BLACK & BROWN FOLKS ARE SUCH EASY PICKIN'S FOR THE RULING-CLASS -- which at least generally only has to declare another foreign enemy to bring us back into the "patriotic" herd. I almost don't feel sorry for us as a group.

Like an earlier comment poster said, I'M TEMPTED TO VOTE FOR TRUMP TOO! At least then most of the left won't stand down, like they did for Obama, and like they would for Hillary, and especially for Bernie, when they too *continue* the U.S.'s trillion-dollar wars, and "double-tap" market square and wedding party drones, and sending another shipment of bombs, artillery shells, and missiles to Israel the next time white-supremacist (this time white *Jewish* instead of white *Christian*) colonial apartheid Israel *again* slaughters fleeing civilians -- THE *INDIGENOUS* PEOPLE -- in Gaza or Lebanon.

Are we -- Blacks & white progressives -- indeed in an ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP not only with the Clintons, but for a long time with the Democrat party?

Of course we are. The same kind of abusive relationship that an abusive husband (or even worse, boyfriend) has with a co-dependent wife (or even worse, girlfriend, because she doesn't even have to go through the long legal process/hassle of getting a divorce, instead all she has to do is walk out, legally clear and free). The abusive husband keeps abusing the co-dependent wife (or girlfriend), but when she's about to leave, he sweet-talks her with promises that -- "next time" -- he'll do better, before he, quite naturally, goes on to soon abuse her again!

Or, the abused wife's/girlfriend's personal and moral self-esteem having been worn down over years of conditioned abuse (and self-abuse by repeatedly staying), the abusive husband/boyfriend will just sarcastically tell her:

"Where're ya gonna *go*!?... You're never gonna *leave*... You're not *worth* anything... You're just gonna come runnin' back to *mmeee*...! *Look* at you...: you're ppa-thhe-ticc...

And that makes, especially, Black people the Democrat party's (and once again the Clintons') *BBEEEYYOTCH*!!

Every political interest groups makes *DEMANDS* on its political -- especially, presidential -- candidate for their votes.

The gun lobby makes *DEMANDS* for their vote.

The insurance lobby makes *DEMANDS* for their votes.

The financial/banking industry makes *DEMANDS* for their votes.

The anit-abortionists make *DEMANDS* for their votes.

The corporate real-estate industry makes *DEMANDS* for their votes.

The HMO industry makes *DEMANDS* for their votes.

Etc.

The Israel lobby surrre as hhelll makes *DEMANDS* for their votes -- ORRR *ELLLSE*, for the candidate/politician!!

The Tea Party types threaten that they'll stay *home*, if *their* candidate doesn't clearly, explicitly, forcefully and unmistakably speak to their issue.

All these other political interest groups know that if they don't *DEMAND* anything for their votes, they can't know that they'll *get* anything.

Only Black people are told to just "HOPE" -- "HOPE" FOR "CHANGE" that -- we'll get something actually *meaningful* & *substantive* from the Democrat party -- and, if 'need' be, we go out in the middle of winter storms and breath-misting cold, standing in voting lines around the block corner, sometimes for hours (sometimes only to discover that we've been *'Jim Crowed' off* the voter registration roll) -- without even making *DEMANDS* for our votes.

Yes, but consider what the future holds:

If Clinton loses to Trump, the probably Republican nominee, there will be millions of Democratic voters who will throw up their hands in disgust. "What!" they will say, "she couldn't even beat that racist clown?"

And if she wins, she is sure to be one of the most unpopular presidents right off the starting block. And what will happen the minute US capitalism hits its first speed bump, never mind a real crisis? In either case, what will the view be of those who helped usher in her election, not the least of which will be the Congressional black caucus?

They are preparing the way for being further discredited. Then who will US capitalists and the Democrats be able to turn to to keep this sector of the working class in line?

Who's the bigger racist, i.e., whose actions have hurt the black masses more?  The "Billary co-presidency" gave us NAFTA that continued to accelerate job offshoring (which started during the late 70s Carter admin and picked up speed during Reagan's reign of terror).  Said offshoring equalled unemployment and underemployment for millions of blacks who had working to middle class lives off blue-collar jobs.  No jobs or lower paying work meant a crapload of black families who would have sent children to college could no longer do so.  Then soul bro/sis Billary eliminated Glass Stegall which allowed Wall Street to play casino with pensions and corporations which led to more lost jobs and lost pensions - which affected the working stiffs.  And if white working stiffs caught a cold from the above-mentioned, black workers got freaking pneumonia.  Killary has racked up a shitload of air miles shoving the TPP (fascism on steroids) down the throats of foreign nations - threatening any who dared balk at the deal.  BTW, racists come in all hues:  biracial Barry Obomber backs TPP along with a laundry lists of other things that fucked over black folks, but let's save that for another comment.  Billary's welfare reform removed people from the welfare dole but did little to provide jobs for former dolees that paid living wages.  Barry O greased the way and Killary will continue to give Monsanto and the GMO crowd carte blanche to poison food which sickens people (including blacks) and then causes them to need meds and healthcare (that enrich Big Pharma and Pappy Insurance).  Oh yeah, Killary's "attempt" at healthcare reform was just like the boondoggle that is Obamacare.   How's that working out for those whose premiums doubled or for those who are buying cheap policies that cover little and they still delay seeking care because they can't afford the deductible.  Even if they seek care, they may not be able to afford meds.  And these "theys" I describe include black people.   I  don't give a shit what lies Killary adds to her campaign spiel about jobs, housing, etc, her bitch ass ain't going to do shit to improve the lot of the average black.  Actions speak louder than words and her past and present actions clearly indicate her admin would be "racist" with regards to screwing over the black population.  Trump, Sanders, Clinton - out of the 3 establishment candidates, Clinton is the scariest sumofabitch - and the real racist.

US capitalism hit a speed bump years ago and is now grazing the guardrail getting ready to hurtle into the ocean.  Fiat currency, bankrupt banks living off creative accounting, taxpayer bailouts, and laundered drug money; brokeass citizens living off credit card debt and/or a prayer; McJobs; HB1 visas that bring in foreigners to take "good paying" white collar jobs and put US workers on the streets (some places even make the US worker train the foreigner who will take his/her job); and the list goes on.  Casino capitalism enabled the mortgage scam that displaced millions (including blacks) and decimated what little wealth most black homeowners had.
