The only beneficiaries of President Obama's educational policies “will be the testing and charter school corporations.” The president's top executive for educational business affairs, Arne Duncan, is free to treat the nation's schools as his “portfolio.” Unfortunately, “children performing below grade level, or in need of special education are not welcome in corporate education land.”

According to conservatives, Barack Obama is after the little kiddies. He hatched a nefarious plot to start an Obama Youth movement and propagandize tender young minds into mindlessly following his fascist, socialist, communist, atheist, not born in the USA political cult. In fact, he delivered a speech to kids ranging in age from elementary school through high school, in which he exhorted them to do their homework, stay in school, flee from drugs, realize their dreams, and well, you know the rest.
The idea of a presidential fireside chat for children is more ridiculous than anything else. It is akin to Bill Clinton’s school uniform policy, relatively harmless but cloaking more important and more dangerous policy decisions. All of the hot air from the right wing has obscured the truly offensive nature of the president’s goals in speaking to school children.
Obama is always a corporatist, whether he claims to want health care reform or to save the economy. Health care “reform” will enrich the insurance companies at the expense of Medicaid and Medicare. The economic rescue is a rescue of the financial services industry which resulted in the transfer of trillions of dollars in public money to the criminal bankster class who brought millions of people to economic ruin. His educational reform plans fit the same mode. The only beneficiaries of his educational policy will be the testing and charter school corporations.

As usual, the Obama modus operandi, reconciling the irreconcilable, is at work in his educational policy. The president says he wants to decrease the high school drop out rate, but he also wants to expand the corporate takeover of the public school system. Corporate control of education will in fact exacerbate every problem facing American kids.By their very nature, charter schools are meant to exclude the young people most in need of a robust educational system that is dedicated to serving every child. Children performing below grade level, or in need of special education are not welcome in corporate education land.
Obama’s secretary of education, Arne Duncan, earned his position by bringing the corporate model to the Chicago public school system. The fact that he held the title CEO instead of Commissioner or Superintendent or Chancellor was quite telling. The man who ran one of the largest school systems in the country was never an educator, and he said so proudly. "I am not a manager of 600 schools. I'm a portfolio manager of 600 schools and I'm trying to improve the portfolio.”
Barack Obama has a lot of nerve filling helpless, impressionable young minds with lectures about responsibility when irresponsibility is the byword of his educational policy. The wholesale firing of black teachers in Chicago, done under the guise of closing “under performing” schools, has resulted in a discrimination suit against that city. The legacy of Arne Duncan has been an absolute disaster, and the man who elevated him to a position that endangers the entire nation’s public education system should not be given a pass just because of bizarre, rightwing conspiracy theories.

On the other hand, politicians in need of a cute photo opportunity backdrop are nothing new. Children are always used to further the ends of cynical office holders. The Bush administration used internet child pornography as a pretext for spying on millions of people. The safety of children was the phony rationale for concocting a war on drugs. Who can argue against keeping drug kingpins off the streets and saving young souls? The safety of children is the justification for endless warfare. There are terrorists hiding behind every tree, just waiting for an opportunity to snuff out young America lives.
Not only is Obama behaving as his predecessors did, but he is once again mastering the art of corporate control better than any of them. McDonald’s set out to capture two-year-olds with Ronald McDonald and happy meals. If the idea worked for fast food, it should be good enough for the government too. Let the kids in on the action early. Snake oil can be consumed at any age.

Every American citizen is obligated to respect and enforce the constitution and laws of this nation, some more than others. This obligation is greater with career, constitutional lawyers and buck-passing stops with the Commander-in-Chief of the United States of America.
Leon E. Lofton Jr. (01-16-18 to 07-16-03) an honorably discharged, disabled American combat infantry veteran of a foreign war (WWII) was discharged September 25, 1945 into a society as cruel as the one from which he was drafted November 14, 1942, a fact proven by the complete and exact copy of an enclosed court document titled JOINT PRETRIAL STATEMENT, NO. 895 188: Leon E. Lofton Jr. and Esther M. Lofton vs. School Board, Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) Superior Court of the State of California for the County of Los Angeles.
Even though the cited matter has been an already agreed upon matter since January 23, 1967, it still pends due to massive affinity fraud in every American institution from sea to shining sea.
Final judgment and order in case 895188 authored by the Plaintiffs pursuant to Amendment X, USC signed between November 22, 1975 and February 21, 1976 pursuant to ARTICLE VI, Section 19, CC. by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of California, the Honorable Donald R. Wright who as Presiding Judge of the Superior Court of Los Angeles was the last judge of court of record. Final judgment and order (case 895 188) is in the custody of and/or under the control of John A. Clarke, Executive Officer/ Clerk of the Los Angeles Superior Court.

Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa documenting the fact that the Plaintiff, a 30-year employee of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) has been on NO SHIFT/NO PAY (NS/NP) since October 17, 2007 in the absence of cause.
Despite your sermon condemning black males in an apostolic church in Chicago, IL on Fathers’ Day 2008 Leon E. Lofton, Jr., his son Michael L. Lofton and Carl A. Steadman, Jr. are all black males, all descendants of slaves and all citizens of the United States of America.

Theft by Court details how an innocent Black man, specifically Carl Steadman, is involved in a minor traffic accident, to where Carl Steadman is the victim, victimized by another driver cited for illegal backing, as documented by the actual traffic collision report 1998080109 and Vehicle Code 22106. The female perpetrator leaves the scene of the accident, to commit felony hit and run, both the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the California Highway Patrol, Culver City Court, and former Inglewood Municipal Court, are fully aware of Carl Steadman's innocence, yet blatant fraud on the part of government and the Los Angeles County Court system frees a felony hit and run driver, and illegally and unwarrantedly convicts, jails and fines, Carl Steadman, of battery, reckless driving, driving with a suspended license, etc. (Inglewood Municipal Court Case #8IW7573).
………and President Barack Obama , and/or other elected leaders affiliated with the Democratic Party, have yet to use his, her, and/or their position of influence to protect the U.S. Constitutional rights of law abiding U.S. Veterans, specifically U.S. born Black men, women, their siblings, and/or others truly entitled to mandated Constitutional protections, truly violated by the atrocities of a government seriously gone awry.

There he goes again. Tsk, tsking and wagging his freakin finger at some group - this time students. This lame-assed speech is right up there with Nancy Reagan's Just Say No spiel.
Stay in school, study hard so you can get a "good job." What's Obama's definition of a good job? Seems to me a shitload of "good jobs" continue to be outsourced elsewhere. We're importing nurses and doctors from other lands instead of preparing and providing resources to train and educate US students in these fields. Even white collar jobs in law and engineering are being outsourced for cheaper labor. IT industry? The giant sucking sound of those jobs leaving US shores is beyond deafening.
Call me when Obama allocates the resources to the public school system to provide the same education his kids get at Sidwell Friends. If he is unwilling to do such, his ass needs to sit down and shut the fuck up. People are tired of the First Daddy lecturing them on what they should be doing while his policies do nothing to help them attain these lofty goals.
There is a painfully obvious game plan at work here,
and in every move Obama makes. Obama puts forward a manifestly regressive policy. The Right Wing starts howling. The Progressives rally to Obama's policy, usually a policy that would formerly have been anathema to them.
Afrodescendants Must Develop Our Own Healthy Schools
As the USA falls economically, politically and spiritually, we the awakening Afrodescendants know that we cannot trust the corrupt ruling class to properly educate our precious youth. America's educational institutions have always crippled Black and Brown children through systematic mal-education deeply rooted in ethnocide and forced assimilation. We must now rapidly develop our own schools devoted solely to saving, restoring and elevating our young people. In addition to requiring respect and discipline, these Afrocentric institutions will teach our youth their true history and culture and introduce them to our Mother Tongue. We cannot continue to languish in the oppressor's language and philosophy and expect to forge progress. Black folks in the USA now burn more than $12 billion annually on alcoholic beverages alone. For one-fourth of that we could create a desperately needed educational revolution. We should also approach both the United Nations and the African Union for immediate tangible assistance.
