Freedom Rider: No Tears for John Lewis

by BAR editor and senior columnist Margaret Kimberley

John Lewis has parlayed his 1965 beating at the hands of Alabama police into a phony sainthood, and “now exemplifies everything that is wrong with the Congressional Black Caucus, the Democratic Party and the black misleadership class.” He “parrots every word” of the CIA in blaming Russia for Hillary Clinton’s defeat. There are many reasons to boycott Donald Trump’s inauguration, but “Russia” is the only one mentioned by Lewis, the party hack.

Freedom Rider: Contradiction in the Time of Trump

by BAR editor and senior columnist Margaret Kimberley

The cacophony of pre-inaugural madness is full of lies against Russia, wild exaggerations about Obama’s accomplishments, and a weird and shameful alliance of so-called “progressives” and the CIA. Anti-Trump protests turn out to be props for useless Democrats. The contradictions of late stage capitalism abound -- which should be the cue for genuine radicals to fight both corporate parties. That means kicking the Democrats “while they are down.”

Freedom Rider: Obama’s Propaganda Gift to Trump

by BAR editor and senior columnist Margaret Kimberley

Political hysteria has its ironies. President Obama has just signed into law a new office of government propaganda that is intended to prevent any warming of relations with Russia under a Trump administration. But, President Trump will appoint the head of the office. The Democrats apparently expect Trump to cooperate with their plan to undermine his foreign policy, “silence dissent and create a network of propaganda partners” to badmouth Russia.

Freedom Rider: Syria, Russia and American Desperation

by BAR editor and senior columnist Margaret Kimberley

Legions of people will protest Donald Trump’s inauguration. The Democratic rank and file “are anxious about racism, immigration, Islamophobia, judicial appointees and voter suppression,” but their leaders have a different agenda. War Democrats and Republicans care only about maintaining imperialism -- through lies and repression. The bipartisan War Party is desperate to continue its regime change policies and foil improved relations with Russia.

Freedom Rider: Fighting for Southern Human Rights

by BAR editor and senior columnist Margaret Kimberley

The South, where more than half of the Black U.S. population lives, has based its economic appeal on the stinginess of its social safety net, the relative poverty of its people, and the savagery of its criminal justice system. Capitalism truly turns morality upside down. Mississippi is considered good for business because its “retrograde history of slavery and Jim Crow segregation creates a compliant and largely non-unionized source of labor.”

Freedom Rider: Black Fear in the Age of Trump

by BAR editor and senior columnist Margaret Kimberley

Having accepted the unacceptable and defended the indefensible when it came from Democrats, Blacks must now confront the white people’s president, Donald Trump. As in dark days of the past, we must cast off fear and cast out Black misleaders who are loyal only to themselves. “Creating political crisis should be the order of the day. That has always been the game changer, not necessarily getting Democrats into office instead of Republicans.”

Freedom Rider: Black Agenda Report on the Honor Roll

by BAR editor and senior columnist Margaret Kimberley

The Democrats, through their PropOrNot web site and a compliant corporate media, have targeted BAR and other sites as purveyors of Russian propaganda and partly responsible for Hillary Clinton’s defeat. We’re proud to be on their hit list. Their ludicrous neo-McCarthyism shows the Democrats are not really a party at all, but a “gigantic marketing scheme meant to keep fearful progressives in line.” And the Washington Post is revealed as a lying rag.

Freedom Rider: How Not to Protest Trump

by BAR editor and senior columnist Margaret Kimberley

Donald Trump’s many evils are manifest and obvious. But let’s stop pretending that some historical line has been crossed in U.S. political and social relations. “The dictates of white supremacy are ever present and the numbers of white people who do anything serious about it are small.” Newly outraged Democrats act like they’ve never seen a fascist. “There is an ample supply of domestic fascists. They are the people who wear police uniforms.”

Freedom Rider: Obama’s Hollow Legacy

by BAR editor and senior columnist Margaret Kimberley

Democrats used to value things like global peace and justice in the workplace. But, for decades they have given their votes to warmongers and job-exporters. This week, they are mourning the defeat of a politician they once would have despised. In January, lots of Black Democrats will cry over the exit of a president who “won by making himself palatable to white people while also taking advantage of undeserved black pride.”

Freedom Rider: Dump the Democrats for Good

by BAR editor and senior columnist Margaret Kimberley

Donald Trump, the white nationalist that claimed to oppose the corporate establishment, appears to have won the U.S. presidency. But, “even the victory of the openly bigoted Trump poses an opportunity to right our political ship.” The Democrats were not “our” party, but the party that thought they owned us. Their “rejection must be complete and blame must be laid squarely at their feet” for raising those chickens that have come home to roost.

Freedom Rider: Russophobia: War Party Propaganda

by BAR editor and senior columnist Margaret Kimberley

The world’s most reactionary regime, the head-chopping, terror-sponsoring Saudi Arabian kleptocracy, was awarded the chair of the UN Human Rights Council, while Russia has been kicked out. The travesty was engineered by the Superpower of Lies to punish Moscow for resisting the U.S.-led war of sectarian massacre and regime change in Syria. The War Party is on the march, to the cheers of corporate media – and Hillary hasn’t even been elected yet.

Freedom Rider: Organizing in the Age of Hillary

by BAR editor and senior columnist Margaret Kimberley

The resistance to a Hillary Clinton presidency has already begun. Activists gathered in Chicago “to strategize the fight against police violence, neoliberalism and imperialism,” all of which promise to be hallmarks of her administration. The Black Misleadership Class plays its usual, toadying role. “The liars who said they would hold Obama’s feet to the fire are repeating their empty words and hoping no one pays attention.”

Freedom Rider: Henry Louis Gates' $10 Million Scam

by BAR editor and senior columnist Margaret Kimberley

Henry Louis “Skip” Gates, “the supreme hustler-in-chief of black America,” has sold his white corporate friends on a $10 million scheme to advise the rich on how to end Black poverty. The project claims to be “non-ideological” -- another way of saying that only pro-business ideas will be entertained. Gates is helping his sugar daddies obscure the truth: “Black people are poor because of two things, capitalism and racism.”

Freedom Rider: Anti-Trump Hypocrisy

by BAR editor and senior columnist Margaret Kimberley

By immensely helpful coincidence, Donald Trump’s 11-year-old sexist rant tape surfaced on the same day that Wikileaks revealed Hillary Clinton’s support for hemispheric “free trade” and cuts in Social Security. But Trump’s campaign may be doomed, while Clinton rides high in the polls. The Donald is “a better foil for the Democratic party than any other Republican could possibly be.” Both sides of the duopoly connive to fill Hillary’s big tent.

Freedom Rider: Ignoring Angela Davis

by BAR editor and senior columnist Margaret Kimberley

How low the icon has fallen. Angela Davis diminished herself and denounced her own history when she endorsed Barack Obama in 2008 and in 2012, claiming the corporate imperial Democrat was part of the “black radical tradition.” Davis now signals she’s in Clinton’s corner, and smears independent voters as “narcissists.” Who will “Free Angela” from her shameful servitude to the Democratic Party?

Freedom Rider: Vote Green

by BAR editor and senior columnist Margaret Kimberley

A vote for the Green Party is not a protest gesture -- it is a vote for a platform of peace, social justice and a livable planet, and against the Parties of Lies. The Democrats “continue to be seen as the antiwar party even as they use regime change more successfully than George W. Bush ever dreamed.” Trump is a scarecrow for political children, but Clinton is a real, live, proven monster. Vote Green – boldly! -- for civlization, and against death.

Freedom Rider: Anti-Putin Hysteria in Service to Hillary

by BAR editor and senior columnist Margaret Kimberley

“Vladimir Putin is being used to normalize imperialism and to get Hillary in the Oval Office.” The pro-Clinton corporate media are fully complicit in the farce, acting as megaphones of a new McCarthyism. “Joy Ann Reid at MSNBC is so eager to please that she forgets the Soviet Union collapsed 25 years ago and ranted endlessly on twitter about ‘communist Russia.’” The Clintonites are willing to set the world ablaze to win the White House.

Freedom Rider: Standing with Syria

by BAR editor and senior columnist Margaret Kimberley

President Obama has gotten a pass for almost eight years from self-styled anti-war elements that back his proxy war against Syria. Phony anti-warriors blame the Syrian government for resisting jihadist head-hunters in the pay of Washington and its allies. They have become supporters of state terror, and cannot comprehend that “there would not be bombs of any kind, sieges, starving children, or refugees” if the Obama had not launched his war.

Freedom Rider: The Clinton and Powell War Criminal Charade

by BAR editor and senior columnist Margaret Kimberley

Hillary Clinton, with help from her collaborators in corporate media, is trying to shift the blame for her email crimes to her predecessor, Colin Powell. The two exchanged private server notes at a “reunion of war criminals,” including Madeleine Albright, Condoleezza Rice and Henry Kissinger. Clinton’s sycophants scurry to her defense, since she is the meal ticket for those “beholden to Democratic Party success to stay on the gravy train.”

Freedom Rider: Liberal Hate for Stein and Baraka

by BAR editor and senior columnist Margaret Kimberley

So-called liberals and “progressives” have caught the Mad Democratic Cow Disease, frothing at the mouth at those who would resist the coronation of the corporate warmonger, Hillary Clinton. They flail with McCarthyite fury at both Donald Trump and the Green Party presidential ticket of Jill Stein and Ajamu Baraka. “Liberals are now quite deranged and applaud a woman who will crush their feeble agenda as soon as she says the oath of office.”
